Oilers win defensive gem to go up 3-1 on Kings

The remaining teams in the Stanley Cup Playoffs are on notice.

That's because the high-flying offensive juggernaut that is the Edmonton Oilers won a 1-0 game with only 13 shots on goal Sunday night.

Yes, you read that correctly.

The win over the Los Angeles Kings at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles gives the Oilers a 3-1 lead in the Western Conference first-round series, with Game 5 shifting north to Edmonton's Rogers Place on Wednesday.

It is indeed a scary proposition for everybody else if the team of superstars Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl, 50-goal scorer Zach Hyman along with Evander Kane and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins can win a game 1-0.

While the Oilers were great defensively, the biggest reason for the win was goaltender Stuart Skinner. He made 33 saves for his first career playoff shutout.

Edmonton's 13 shots were the fewest in a playoff win in franchise history.

Defenseman Evan Bouchard scored the game's only goal, on the power play, with 8:11 left in the second period. It was the Oilers' only power play of the game and they are 8-of-15 (53.3 percent) with the man advantage in the series.

Meanwhile the Kings are 0-for-11.

What must they be thinking after a 1-0 loss to Edmonton and down 3-1?
