Bo Nix had a message for those who had some skepticism regarding his accomplishments during his lone season at Oregon.
Nix has been knocked over the perception that he completed a lot of short passes with the Ducks, inflating his stats without showing off his actual quarterbacking ability. The newly drafted Denver Broncos quarterback was asked about that in his introductory news conference and he fired back at that narrative.
Bo Nix on the criticism that he completed so many short passes: "Quite frankly, I completed a lot of long ones too"

“Quite frankly, I completed a lot of long ones too,” Nix responded.
Nix did throw for 4,508 yards at Oregon while averaging 9.6 yards per attempt this past season. The quarterback may be correct that the talk about his focus on shorter passes is significantly overblown and he certainly flashed NFL potential in college. The Broncos presumably agree, since they were willing to select him at No. 12 overall.
Reports indicate that coach Sean Payton has a very high opinion of Nix and the quarterback sounds confident, too. Many have been skeptical of the pick, but there is certainly a chance Nix proves a lot of critics wrong.
