The Denver Nuggets were favorites to win over the Los Angeles Lakers even before a single minute of playoff action was played between the two. The gulf of talent between the two teams is pretty evident even for those who are the biggest Lakers fans.
Game 3 proved the thought true as the Purple and Gold struggled to get things done against the Nuggets. The performance has been so unsatisfactory that fans have even begun criticizing Darvin Ham for how he’s leading the team against the Nuggets.
Confidence is sky-high inside the Nuggets locker room, and you know they’re feeling good when no other than Nikola Jokic is making the suggestion himself. His post-game press conference is a clear indication to fans of both teams that brooms might be taken out of the closet by the end of Game 4.
Nikola Jokic addressed the media after the team’s 112-105 win over the Lakers, where he fielded questions about what happened during the game and what fans can look forward to in Game 4.
Jokic was asked a question about his team’s approach for Game 4 after gaining a commanding 3-0 lead over the Purple and Gold. His answer is something plenty of Nuggets fans would love:
“Winning is a lifestyle for us…”

“I think I said it one time that winning is a lifestyle for us,” Jokic said about any possibility of complacency. “We’re truly good when we’re winning. Everybody’s happy, everybody’s more [motivated] to play, everybody is buying into the system. I was here when we were losing, so I don’t want to go back to that.”
To hear such things come out of your franchise player’s mouth is an exciting thing to hear for Denver Nuggets fans. If the team’s star player approaches things this way, it’s not weird to think the Nuggets would do the same.
The Joker had a strong performance in Game 3 . The Serbian big man had a near triple-double of 24 points, 15 rebounds, and nine assists. His shooting was at a phenomenal 69.2% as Anthony Davis and the rest of the Purple and Gold defense couldn’t do anything to stop him.
If the Denver Nuggets keep their mentality the way Jokic wants them to, it’s easy to see a sweep coming in for the Nuggets.
