I know, I am struggling right now. There is no other way to put it. We posted another 1-3 day. I was right on Bradley Beal though, which was good for us and for the Suns. They are an interesting team to watch now that health is not as much of a factor.
Part of my process is looking at which games are going to be close because those seem to have the best probability of shaking out as expected in terms of playing time. However, the number of blowouts seems to have exploded this season. A recent case in point was Boston at Milwaukee last night. These are the two best teams in the Eastern Conference, maybe the whole NBA, but last night the Celtics were not even competitive. As a result, only one Boston starter played even 20 minutes last night. It is happening more and more and that is making things very hard to handicap. No excuses though.
Now let's get to the fun part. There are 10 games to choose from this evening.
Results to Date: 61-107, -198 Units
Domantas Sabonis 25+ Points (+125) Alt Line
Joel Embiid is not going to play for the 76ers tonight. I might have punched this one even if he was, but without him there Sabonis should have an even easier time and will not have to be as present on the defensive end of the floor. This is just one bucket above his average over the last 10 games, in which he would have cashed on it three times.
Alperen Sengun Over 2.5 Steals and Blocks (+105)
The Rockets are at the Pistons tonight and it should be an easy win for Houston. You might not have noticed but the Rockets are really good on defense. Sengun might not be the most athletic center, but he anticipates well and plays with size. He has had multiple steals in four of his last six games and against a team as loose as Detroit he can hit this number.
Jaime Jacquez Jr. Over 4.5 Rebounds (+114)
Jimmy Butler is going to miss another game for Miami tonight against Orlando. This is going to be a ragged game and that is right up Jacquez's alley. Over his last 10 games, he has been averaging better than 35 mpg and more than four boards. Orlando is forward-heavy on offense so he is going to be in the mix all night, Good payoff here.
Kevon Looney Over 7.5 Rebounds (+105)
The Warriors are messy right now that's for sure, but the contributions of Looney have been pretty consistent even if he is coming off the bench. He has grabbed seven rebounds in each of the last two games and tonight I think they are going to quickly learn they need him to defend effectively against Nikola Vucevic.
